    Story time programs aim to instill a love of reading by encouraging parents and other special adults to read aloud to children. Activities in story time promote brain and language development for children from birth to age 5. At story time, children and caregivers are introduced to five early literacy skills that are essential for learning to read including phonological awareness, vocabulary, letter knowledge, print awareness, and background knowledge. Remember: Talk, Sing, READ, Write, Play! Registration is required! Your child will come to one session a week.

  5. Leaps of Faith Poetry Reading

    Leaps of Faith: Playful Poems and Fanciful Photos is a debut collection of poems written by Sister Marva Hoeckelman, OSB. The poems are wry, quirky, sometimes humorous, and provide an insightful window into the monastic life she lives. While not all entertaining, there are poems that will readily nourish one’s spiritual journey. The book also has a small collection of photos taken by Sister Marva which express patterns and peepholes found in her monastery.
