[ARCHIVED] Watertown Fire Rescue takes delivery of its newest ambulance

Medic 3

Today Watertown Fire Rescue took delivery of its newest ambulance. Medic 3 was built by Horton Ambulance Company; this ambulance was built from the ground up with patient safety in mind. This is the second ambulance of WFR’s with Horton Occupant Protection System (HOPS). HOPS is a system of airbags, seatbelts, and progressive foam protection that interact to provide the best in occupant protection. Horton has done extensive testing in frontal, side, and rollover crash simulations and HOPS has been proven to be the safest system in the industry. This new ambulance will continue to help WFR provide the best and safest care to its patients.
