[ARCHIVED] WFR Responds to Walmart Parking Lot for Vehicle Fire

The fire was called in at approximately 11:35 Tuesday morning.

WFR responded with one truck and three personnel. Upon arrival, a white Pontiac Grand Am was found with the entire engine compartment engulfed in flames. The car was initially surrounded by several other vehicles, but most were moved quickly and there was no damage reported to any of the exposures.

The cause of the fire is not determined, but the vehicle, due to it's age, will more than likely be considered a complete loss. WFR had the fire out within a few minutes after arival. There were no injuries reported from the call.

Just a reminder as the cold weather is nearing to have your vehicle inspected by a certified mechanic and keep it in sound mechanical shape. Small preventative things go a long way in keeping your vehicles reliable.
