Watertown Fire Rescue was called to a wildland fire east of Watertown Tuesday afternoon. On scene fire crews found a fire that had started in a rubbish pile had spread to a nearby tree belt covering an area of about 1 acre and was threatening a bale pile. Fire crews quickly extinguished the fire in the tree belt stopping the spread. Fire crews were on scene for about 2 hours extinguishing smoldering trees and spot fires along with the rubbish pile.
