A fire was reported at the Watertown Landfill at 45605 175 St at 2041. When crews arrived, we found a large pile of garbage burning and fire continuing down the slope of the partially buried garbage. WFR made sure the fire was contained and waited for landfill employees to arrive. They started extinguishing the fire by burying with clay using a dozer and scrapers. WFR remained on scene for almost 2 hours. No injuries were reported. BC McElhany.
