[ARCHIVED] Storm Clean Up-Released on 06-22-13

The City of Watertown is advising not to bring trees or branches to the Watertown Landfill.

The Watertown Landfill is working on managing their limited space for these items. The additional
traffic is making it difficult to get the Parks and Recreation/Street Department trucks in and out to drop off the debris. The rain and additional traffic has also impacted traveling within the Watertown Landfill.

The City of Watertown is asking that everyone please place any trees/branches onto their boulevard in manageable pieces.

Our priority is to keep the roads open for safe travel. The City of Watertown is working on cleaning up the streets, overhanging trees, and the right-of-ways. Once these are clear we will systematically work through the entire town to clean off the boulevards of trees and branches.

We appreciate everyone’s help in ensuring that we can clean up from this storm safely and quickly.
