At 10:10 last night Watertown Fire Rescue responded to a house fire at 1118 Skyline Dr. Upon arrival to the residence the homeowner stated that the fire was in the basement,. Crews made a valiant effort to extinguish the fire in the basement but they were met with , high heat and excessive amount of smoke which made it impossible to make entry to basement and extinguish the fire. House is considered a total loss. No firefighter injuries reported and residents of the home were taken to PLH for evaluation.
