[ARCHIVED] Yard Waste Drop-off Site

Beginning Monday 6/24/2013, the Watertown Regional Landfill will operate the Yard Waste Drop-off Site located on 4th Avenue S.W. The site will be open to receive residential yard waste on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The site is closed Wednesday and Sunday. The site will also be closed Thursday July 4th, 2013.

Hours of operation are 12:00 noon to 8:00 PM; disposal is only permitted during these hours. The Site is located east of Municipal Utilities at the 4th Ave. S.W. Bridge.

Materials accepted free at the yard waste site include residential grass, leaves, garden vegetation and bushes. Tree limbs up to 6” in. diameter and 6’ in length are also accepted.

Residents are asked to dump their waste out of their containers or bags into dumpsters provided by the City or to lay their branches out on the ground. Residents using their 95 gallon yard waste containers will unload them from their vehicle and the Landfill staff will dump them using a rear-load truck.

Free disposal privileges are for Watertown residents only. No Commercial loads.

All loads entering the Yard waste site on 4th Ave. S.W. and the Landfill are required to be securely covered to prevent littering.

Thank you,
