[ARCHIVED] Vehicle Burglaries

The Watertown Police Department continues its investigation into multiple vehicle burglaries that occurred in the 1300 and 1600 block of 2nd Avenue SW in Watertown early Tuesday morning. Over eight unlocked vehicles were entered and rummaged through during the early morning hours. Officers reported compact discs, an undisclosed amount of cash, a Compound Bow, and a car stereo as missing items.

The Watertown Police Department would like to remind residents to secure your valuables and lock vehicles when they are left unattended. With the onset of warmer weather, pedestrian traffic has increased which creates a prime environment for thieves.

The Police Department is offering a cash reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for these vehicle burglaries.

If you have information about this case, please contact the Watertown Police Department at (605) 882-6210.
