[ARCHIVED] Snow Removal Plan Dec 26-29

The Watertown Street Department will be plowing Emergency Snow Routes, Highways, and Streets (north-south roadways) on Friday, December 26th.

Avenues (east-west roadways) will be plowed on Saturday, December 27th.

The uptown business district will be plowed on Monday, December 29th starting at 3:00 am.

Please assist us by not parking on the roadways during the time that roadway is scheduled to be plowed.

General snow removal guidelines for the City of Watertown:
• A snow alert is declared when we receive more than 2 inches of snow
• Emergency snow routes are plowed first (regardless of the day of the week)
• Streets (north-south roadways) are plowed on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays
• Avenues (east-west roads) are plowed on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays
• Parking on streets, avenues, or snow routes during the days they are scheduled to be plowed will result in a $40 fine
• Fines double to $80 if not paid in three days
• Officers do same day ticketing of vehicles blocking the snow plows from clearing the city’s streets, avenues, and emergency snow routes
• If the obstructing vehicles remain on the roadway for longer than 24 hours after being plowed around, it will be towed at the expense of the owner
