The adult mosquito population has been determined to be sufficient to trigger spraying in the following area of Watertown:
Southwest Watertown: South of 3rd Avenue North and West of Broadway
Weather conditions permitting, spraying for mosquitos will begin in the above designated area of Watertown after 9:00 p.m., Wednesday evening, on September 10, 2025.
Although the mosquito adulticide used by the mosquito control program is a fairly safe material, the following common sense measures should be followed when mosquito spraying becomes necessary in a neighborhood, as sensitivity to the adulticide may vary.
1. If possible, remain indoors whenever spraying takes place.
2. Keep children and pets indoors during spraying and for about an hour afterwards.
3. Rinse homegrown fruits and vegetables thoroughly with water before cooking or eating.
