The following area will be sprayed in preparation of the upcoming outdoor activities:
Derby Downs Rodeo Grounds Spraying will occur in the area near the Derby Downs Rodeo Grounds and on the grounds of the Derby Downs Rodeo Grounds.
Weather conditions permitting, spraying for mosquitos will begin in the above designated area of Watertown after 9:00 p.m., Thursday evening, on August 21, 2025.
Although the mosquito adulticide used by the mosquito control program is a fairly safe material, the following common sense measures should be followed when mosquito spraying becomes necessary in a neighborhood, as sensitivity to the adulticide may vary.
1. If possible, remain indoors whenever spraying takes place.
2. Keep children and pets indoors during spraying and for about an hour afterwards.
3. Rinse homegrown fruits and vegetables thoroughly with water before cooking or eating.
