[ARCHIVED] Downtown No-Parking Signs Installation Start Next Week

Signs

Starting the week of August 18, 2025, the City of Watertown Street Division will begin installing new 'No Parking Signs' in the downtown area. These signs identify days, times, and areas where overnight parking is not allowed. Parking will be prohibited every Wednesday from 4 a.m. to 6 a.m. on Streets and every Thursday from 4 a.m. to 6 a.m. on Avenues. The signs and future enforcement will help crews clean the roadways from curb to curb more efficiently without obstacles.

Weather permitting, the signs will be installed starting next week and completed in September, when enforcement begins. The first ticket issued will be a written warning to provide motorists with time to adjust to the change. The second citation and beyond will result in a $15 ticket.

These signs serve as a permanent reminder of these rules and will help keep downtown clean.
