On Thursday, November 13th, 2014 beginning at 10:00 AM, the Watertown Street Department will re-plow the emergency snow routes followed by plowing curbside sidewalks and Highways 212, 81 and 20 will be re-plowed as needed.

Emergency Snow Routes are plowed whenever there are two or more inches of snow.

Streets are plowed on: Monday, Wednesday and Friday

Avenues are plowed on: Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday

Parking on streets, avenues or snow routes during the days they are scheduled to be plowed will result in a $40 fine (fine doubles to $80 if not paid in 3 days).

Officers will do same day ticketing of vehicles blocking the snow plows from clearing the city’s streets and avenues. If the obstructing vehicles remain on the street longer than 24 hours after being plowed around, it will be towed at the expense of the owner.

There is also a fine for blowing snow into the street from a driveway or sidewalk.

The Watertown Street and Police Department appreciate the cooperation and understanding of residents in removing cars to provide for effective snow removal on City Streets.
