On Saturday, April 29th, 2023 at approximately 1:20pm, Watertown Fire Rescue responded to 45926 169th St northeast of Watertown, SD for a house fire.  Fire crews arrived on scene to find fire in the entryway of the home.  One person was at the residence during the time of the incident.  They were able to escape the fire but unable to suppress the flames before calling 911.  The fire was quickly extinguished by the firefighters.  Fire crews were on scene for about 1 hour and 10 minutes and used approximately 380 gallons of water to extinguish it.  Codington County Sherriff's Department was on scene to assist with the incident.
