UPDATE: Beginning at 3:00 PM, the Watertown Street Department will begin plowing at the Lake.
The City of Watertown received more than 2 inches of snow accumulation on November 10th, 2014. As a result, the Watertown Street Department will be plowing today.
On Monday, November 10th, 2014 beginning at 11:00 AM, the Watertown Street Department will plow Highways 212, 81 and 20 then emergency snow routes.
Emergency Snow Routes are plowed whenever there are two or more inches of snow.
Streets are plowed on: Monday, Wednesday and Friday
Avenues are plowed on: Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday
Parking on streets, avenues or snow routes during the days they are scheduled to be plowed will result in a $40 fine (fine doubles to $80 if not paid in 3 days).
Officers will do same day ticketing of vehicles blocking the snow plows from clearing the city’s streets and avenues. If the obstructing vehicles remain on the street longer than 24 hours after being plowed around, it will be towed at the expense of the owner.
There is also a fine for blowing snow into the street from a driveway or sidewalk.
