Watertown Fire Rescue would like to remind the general public to keep your neighborhood fire hydrant clear of snow.  We've had several people call with concerns after noticing hydrants throughout the city that are covered with snow.  Keeping the hydrants clear allows WFR to not only locate them, but also access them more efficiently.  If you notice a hydrant in your neighborhood that isn't clear, and you are unable to clear it of snow, please ask a neighbor for assistance.  With WFR having clearer access to your fire hydrant, the outcome of a structure fire can be changed dramatically.  Thanks for making a difference in your neighborhood!
