  • 5 AM: Plowing & sanding Highways & Emergency Snow Routes, followed by Avenues.

Friday, February 24th, 2023 Schedule

  • 3 AM: Snow will be removed from the Downtown Business District (streets, avenues & alleys).
    1. Parking is prohibited on these roadways until the snow removal operations are complete.
    2. Downtown business owners: Please assist the Street Division by cleaning off your sidewalks before 3 AM.
  • 6 AM: Plowing & sanding of Streets.

Saturday, February 25th, 2023 Schedule

  • 9 AM: City-owned parking lots (A-J) will be cleaned. See attached map
    1. Please remove your vehicles and refrain from parking in these parking lots until the snow removal is complete.

If additional accumulation/blowing occurs and the Street Superintendent deems it necessary, the Street Division may alter this plan to re-plow high-priority roadways such as Highways & Emergency Snow Routes.

We would like to remind residents of the ticketing process for snow removal. With this being said, the process is described below:

Streets are plowed on: Monday, Wednesday, & Friday

Avenues are plowed on: Tuesday, Thursday, & Saturday

Please assist the Street Division by not parking on the roadways during the time that roadway is scheduled to be plowed. Parking on streets, avenues, or Emergency Snow Routes during the days they are scheduled to be plowed will result in a $40 fine (fine doubles to $80 if not paid in 3 days). There is also a fine for blowing snow into the roadway from a driveway or sidewalk.

Officers will do same-day ticketing of vehicles blocking the snowplows from clearing the City roadways. If the obstructing vehicles remain on the roadways longer than 24 hours after being plowed around, it will be towed at the expense of the owner. The Street Division & Police Department appreciate the cooperation and understanding of residents in removing cars to provide for effective snow removal.
