Construction is now underway on the 2025 Neighborhood Street Reconstruction Project – 2nd Avenue NE. Work began July 16 and is expected to continue through October 3, 2025, weather permitting.
The 2025 Neighborhood Street Reconstruct Project-2nd Avenue NE project scope includes the reconstruction of roadway surfacing, curb and gutter, sidewalks, and water main replacement. This project goes from Maple Street NE to 5th Street NE.
This project will mainly affect residents living along 2nd Avenue NE. The biggest inconvenience will be for those that have driveways and park along 2nd Avenue NE. During construction there will be times when access to driveways is limited.
As with any road construction project, motorists should exercise caution and observe all traffic control devices and flaggers in and around the construction areas. Residences and businesses will remain accessible most of the time. Motorists are asked not to park on the street in work areas.
