On 06/27/2022 at approximately 5:30am, Watertown Fire Rescue was called to Pelican Plaza for a dumpster fire.  Upon arrival, crews found a dumpster with flames coming from the top.  The fire was not threatening any structures or vehicles.  Crews pulled a handline and extinguished the fire.  Crews remained on scene for 30 minutes to make sure all hotspots were extinguished.  No injuries were reported.  Watertown Fire Rescue was assisted on scene by the Codington County Sheriffs Office.
