Watertown Fire rescue responded to 418 5th street SE at 2pm on April 20 for the report of Smoke coming from the back of the house and under the eaves. Upon arriving on scene no smoke was seen from the initial 360. Crews used an A-frame ladder to cross a chain link fence to investigate where the deck met up to the house in the backyard. No heat was detected around the house using thermal imaging cameras. It was determined that there was steam coming off of the house and deck from the melting snow. A good neighbor was concerned and reported the incident.  All units cleared the scene and returned to their respective stations.
