Weather permitting, the City of Watertown Public Works Department will begin work on the 2025 Park and Recreation Improvements-River Ridge Park on Wednesday, June 18, 2025. The work is scheduled to be completed by August 1, 2025, pending any unforeseen issues.
The 2025 Park and Recreation Improvements-River Ridge Park project scope includes the installation of sidewalk, asphalt parking lot, excavation for turf and obstacle course, and a shade structure.
The project being completed this year is phase 1 of 3 for the new River Ridge Park. The public should avoid this area until construction on phase 1 is complete.
As with any construction project, motorists should exercise caution and observe all traffic control devices and flaggers in and around the construction areas. Residences and businesses will remain accessible most of the time. Motorists are asked not to park on the street in work areas.
