On 5-23-21 at 4:00 pm, the Watertown Police Department received information of a possible stolen fish house and construction trailer located in Watertown. Through an investigation, officers made contact with Richard and Tammy Rein of Shakopee, MN. A search warrant was executed at a storage facility in Watertown along with a hotel.
Officers located a large number of stolen tools associated with the construction trailer. Officers recovered a stolen fish house along with an enclosed trailer. Both trailers were stolen from Minnesota.
Richard and Tammy were taken to the Codington County Detention Center and booked on the above charges. The Watertown Police Department was assisted in the investigation by the Codington County Sheriff’s Office and the South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation.
