 Watertown Landfill Load Requirements

All vehicles hauling solid waste to the Watertown Landfill or other solid waste management operations shall be adequately secured or covered to prevent any scattering of solid waste upon any public roadway, street or private property. 

An adequately secured or covered load uses a strap, tarp, or other similar means to prevent scattered debris.  Securing or covering loads protects the environment and other vehicles from scattered debris.

The tipping fee rate for all inadequately secured or covered loads is double the normal tipping fee. This includes loads of appliances, rubble, and concrete.  The following materials are prohibited at the Watertown Regional Landfill: TIRES, LIQUIDS, WASTE OIL, HAZARDOUS WASTE, AND LEAD ACID BATTERIES.
