[ARCHIVED] Remote Yard Waste Drop-Off Site Opens next week, April 15

The City of Watertown will open its seasonal remote yard waste drop-off site next Tuesday, April 15 through Saturday, April 19 from 10 am to 6 pm daily.

This provides a convenient and free opportunity for Watertown residents to dispose of their accumulated yard waste. The drop-off site is located on Fourth Avenue SW (2 blocks east of Municipal Utilities, near the Big Sioux River).

A current Watertown Municipal Utilities bill is required as proof of residency when visiting either the Yard Waste Site or the Landfill.

 Accepted Materials:
 ‣ Leaves, grass clippings, and garden vegetation
 ‣ Bushes, branches
 ‣ Tree limbs (up to 6" diameter and 6 ft length)

 Important Guidelines:
 ‣ Loads must be sorted and secured: yard waste vs. branches
 ‣ If your material must be shoveled, take it directly to the Watertown Regional Landfill. During this event only, branches will be accepted at the Landfill at no charge. Remember that yard waste disposal is free year-round for Watertown residents at the Watertown Regional Landfill.

 Watertown Regional Landfill is open year-round, Monday–Saturday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
