2025 Watertown Municipal Election
The City of Watertown will hold its Municipal and School Board Election on Tuesday, June 17, 2025. This is your opportunity to help shape the future of our community. Below are key dates and details for voters and candidates.
Election Timeline
‣ April 8 – Candidate petition packets available at City Hall
‣ May 9 (5 PM) – Deadline to file completed petitions
‣ June 2 – Voter registration deadline
‣ June 2–16 – Absentee voting at City Hall Finance Office (during regular business hours)
‣ June 17 – Election Day: 7 AM – 7 PM at Watertown Civic Arena (High School)
Voter Information
You must be:
‣ A U.S. citizen
‣ At least 18 years old by Election Day
‣ A resident of Watertown
Register by June 2, 2025

Voting Options:
✔ In Person on Election Day (Vote at the Watertown Civic Arena, 200 9th St NE, from 7 AM – 7 PM, Bring a valid photo ID or sign a personal identification affidavit).
✔ Absentee Voting (If you’re unavailable on Election Day, vote absentee at City Hall, June 2–16 (business hours); Valid photo ID required.

Become a Candidate:
Pick up a petition packet at the Finance Office at City Hall starting April 8. Petitions are due by 5 PM on May 9, 2025.
