Watertown Regional Airport is excited to announce that the U.S. Department of Transportation has awarded a four-year contract to SkyWest Airlines, ushering in a new chapter for air service in our region. SkyWest Airlines will use a dual-hub approach, providing service to both Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) and Denver International Airport (DEN).
“We are happy to welcome a new partnership with SkyWest Airlines,” said Ian Meriwether-Chalfant, Watertown Regional Airport Manager. “We’re confident that SkyWest will deliver the high-quality service our travelers deserve, and we appreciate your continued support. This community makes everything we do possible, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds.”
Watertown Regional Airport also extends its sincere appreciation to Denver Air Connection for its four years of dedicated service. The airline has provided reliable and affordable travel options for the community. While change is a natural part of the Essential Air Service program, the relationships and experiences built along the way remain. While SkyWest prepares to begin service on June 1, travelers can continue booking flights with Denver Air Connection for travel before that date, ensuring a seamless transition with no service interruptions.
