Household Hazardous Waste Event

 

Wastewater Treatment Facility

West of the Watertown Mall

on Jenson Avenue

  

Saturday April 24rd from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon

 

This is an opportunity for area residents to dispose of unwanted residential hazardous items free of charge in an

environmentally friendly manner.  This event is for the disposal of residential hazardous waste only.  Commercial

 or industrial waste is not accepted.

 

Bring any products labeled:   

           Caution                                    Pesticide                      Danger                                                                               

           Flammable                               Combustible                Poison

           Corrosive                                  Reactive                      Warning

           Toxic                                        Mercury

                                    

Examples of ACCEPTABLE ITEMS:           

            Aerosols                                  Oven Cleaners             Mercury/Products Containing Mercury

            Bathroom/Drain Cleaners       Fluorescent Bulbs       Compact Fluorescent Bulbs                

            Fuels (Gasoline & Kerosene)  Degreasers                   Auto Repair Products 

            Weed Killers                           Pool Chemicals           Bug & Rodent Sprays & Killers

            Oil Based Paints                     Roofing Tars               Oil Based Products

            Wood Preservatives                Spot Removers            Disinfectants                                       

            Concrete Cleaners                   Mothballs                    Lithium & NiCad Batteries

Please help preserve the environment and your landfill by taking the time to attend this event and dispose of your

residential hazardous wastes for free!
