Watertown Fire Rescue responded to 46399 US Hwy 212 at approximately 5:46 am on Tuesday October 6th for a traffic accident.  Watertown Fire Rescue responded with an ambulance and rescue truck to find 1 patient in a mini van which had sustained heavy front and rear end damage from a collision.  Watertown Fire Rescue personnel used the jaws of life to remove the driver side door and roll the dash to free the patient.  1 patient was transported to Prairie Lakes Healthcare System with life threatening injuries.  Watertown Fire Rescue was assisted on scene by the South Dakota Highway Patrol and Codington County Sheriffs Department.
