WFR responded shortly after 8:00pm on 8-31-20 to a motor vehicle vs. a combine accident at 160th street and 455th avenue. Two adult patients were transported by WFR Ambulance to Prairie Lakes Hospital with life threatening injuries, a third patient was transported by South Shore Ambulance with non life threatening injuries. The implement that was involved was a chopper used to cut farm crops that was being transported on a trailer. The driver of the tractor trailer did not stop for the accident and was later stopped by law enforcement.
Watertown Fire Rescue was assisted on scene by Codington County Sheriffs office, South Dakota Highway Patrol, and South Shore Fire and Ambulance.
