[ARCHIVED] WFR responds to vehicle vs pedestrian

Apparatus

WFR responded to a pedestrian needing assistance Friday at about 11:00am in the Hy Vee parking lot.  Upon arrival, WFR crews found a female patient sitting on the ground, conscious and beathing.  The patient was struck by a car while walking across the parking lot.  Patient was transported to Prairie Lakes Hospital with undisclosed injuries.  Watertown Fire Rescue responded with an ambulance and a truck, and was on scene for less than 30 minutes.  The Watertown Police Department investigated the accident.  Please do not drive distracted, while texting, or while using your phone.  Stay safe!
