Watertown, SD – Public reminder that the bridge on 14th Ave NW in Watertown is under weight restrictions for public safety:
- Single vehicles: 10 tons maximum
- Combination vehicle: 16 tons maximum
To enhance safety, Codington County has placed safety drums along the guardrails to prevent vehicles from getting too close to the bridge’s edges.
We ask that vehicles exceeding these weight limits avoid this route. Violators may be subject to enforcement. The County and City urge the public to follow these restrictions, as the bridge’s structure is unsafe for heavier loads.
