During Watertown’s Independence Day parade, WFR got a call for a grass fire in a shelter belt at 2110 Sioux Conifer Rd. Upon arrival, WFR found grass burning along a shelter belt and heading north into adjoining landowners shelter belts. Once on scene WFR quickly contained the grass fire. Damage from the fire was limited to grass, trees, fence posts and an older vehicle that was being stored by the trees. WFR was on scene for approximately 3 hours. WFR was not able to determine where the fire started or the cause.
