Branches Only Drop-off Site

June 17th through June 30th 2020

Due to the recent wind storm, the Branches Only Yard Waste Drop-off Site will be open from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Wednesday, June 17th, and 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Thursday, June 18th through Tuesday, June 30th 2020.  The site will be open and staffed the following days during this time span:  Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.  The site is closed on Sundays and Mondays

Disposal is only permitted during the hours that the site is open.  The Site is located east of Municipal Utilities at the 4th Ave. S.W. Bridge.  A utility bill is not required to dump branches at the Branch Drop-Off Site.

Materials accepted free at the yard waste site include bushes and tree limbs up to 6” in. diameter and 6’ in length.  Commercial plate vehicles are not allowed at the Branches Only Yard Waste Drop-off Site.

Residents may also take loads of branches to the Landfill during the hours of 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.  The Landfill is closed on Sunday.  These secured loads will be accepted free of charge with a current Municipal Utility bill at the Landfill.  Entering the Landfill with an unsecured load will result in a charge of twice the normal tipping fee.  Only branches (no other materials) will be accepted free of charge.

Free disposal privileges are for Watertown residents only.  Commercial or contractor loads will be charged the appropriate tipping fee for the incoming load.  People without a current Watertown Municipal Utility bill will be charged the appropriate tipping fee for the incoming loads at the Landfill.

All branch loads entering the Branches Only Yard waste site on 4th Ave. S.W. and the Landfill are required to be securely covered to prevent littering.

General information regarding the Landfill including location, hours of operation, container repair, and rates is located on the City’s website at
