[ARCHIVED] Watertown Fire Rescue responds to multiple accidents

Watertown Fire Rescue responded to multiple motor vehicle accidents on Thursday May 21st. Watertown Fire was dispatched at 7:37 am for a single vehicle accident at Highway 81 and 20th Ave SE. Once on scene crews found a car that had struck a light pole on the west side of the round about continued through the round about went into the ditch and came back up onto 20th Ave. One person was transported to Prairie Lakes Hospital with unknown injuries. Fire Engine crew cleaned up a fluid leak and debris from the roadway. Watertown Fire Rescue was assisted on scene by Watertown Police Department and a local towing company.

At 11:48 am Watertown Fire Rescue was dispatched to a two vehicle accident at the intersection of 11th Street and 4th Ave SW. Ambulance crew assessed one patient who was not transported to the hospital.  Fire Engine crew cleaned up a small debris field. Watertown Fire rescue was assisted on scene by Watertown Police Department and a local towing company.

Watertown Fire Rescue was dispatched to the area of 870 North Lake drive at 1:37 PM for the report of power lines down. Upon arriving on scene fire crews found a delivery box truck had ran into a lower utility line. A power pole ended up snapping and Power lines were laying on top of 3 structures. Municipal utilities was on scene and advised that all the power to the lines was off. Watertown Municipal Utilities and Watertown Police Department were also on scene.
