On February 19 at approximately 3:30 AM, Watertown Fire Rescue was dispatched to the 900 block of 39th Street SW for a report of a car fire. Upon arrival, crews found a fully involved engine compartment fire in a full-size car, which was located about 10 feet from a residence. Watertown Fire Rescue quickly extinguished the fire, which was contained to the vehicle. Four personnel responded on Engine 4. As of this press release, the cause of the fire is undetermined, and the vehicle is considered a total loss.
