On Friday June 20, 2014 the Watertown Police Department conducted a series of Alcohol Compliance Checks in an effort to reduce the commercial availability of alcohol to minors.
Six establishments were checked and two establishments failed the check selling alcohol to the
underage purchaser.

The two business’ that failed the check were:
Cowboy 2 Liquor Store – 500 9th Avenue SE
Four Seasons C-Store – 2301 SD Hwy 20

The business’ that successfully passed the compliance check include:
#1 Casino – 1004 14th Street SE
Discount Liquors – 125 9th Avenue SE
Jewl’z Liquor Store - 1330 9th Avenue SW
RIngo’s Casino – 510 10th Street NW
