On June 18, 2014, Jared Landmark, CEO/General Manager of Sioux Valley Cooperative in Watertown, presented the Watertown Police Department with a donation of two new Panasonic CF53 toughbook laptop computers valued at over $4,000.
The Panasonic laptops will be used in patrol vehicles. The WPD currently uses laptops in patrol vehicles. Computers in patrol vehicles enable the officer to complete reports without having to consume time driving back to the PD to type reports. Laptops in patrol vehicles enables the officers to be visible to the public as well as being able to respond more efficiently to calls. These laptops will be used to replace two older, slower laptops currently in use. The WPD would like to thank Sioux Valley Coop for their valued partnership.
