Watertown Fire Rescue call to respond at 12:17 pm to afternoon mobile home fire at 708 6th Avenue all occupants exited the structure before fire crews arrived. Crews on scene find flames and smoke coming out underside the structure and heavy smoke exiting the main porch door of the home. Crews begin fire attack at the front entrance and crews from Eng 3 cooled interior of structure from the west side rear door. Crews spent the bulk of the time conducting overhaul and fighting hidden fires.
The home owner explained she was shocked to see flames underneath the trailer and did try to scoop snow on the fire with out any luck. Homeowner returned to the inside of the home and found that she had fire in the home. She called 911 and exited the structure with her pets. The home owner explained that she didn't have insurance because they where in the process of remodeling the home and that her water pipes have been frozen for about a month.
