Engine 4 responded to a two vehicle accident involving a deer strike. Upon arrival Engine 4 was positioned to control traffic and HWY 212 was shut down for about 10 minutes to clear debris. A sedan and pickup were involved. The deer struck both vehicles and then traveled through the windshield and into the passenger compartment of the truck. The truck left the roadway coming to a complete stop in a tree grove. The driver of the truck had serious but non-life threatening facial and hand injuries. Pt was transported by Medic 2 to Prairie Lakes Hospital. The driver of the sedan was not transported. Both cars were towed by Performance Towing. Watertown Fire Rescue was assisted by Sheriffs Office, Highway Patrol, and Watertown Police department.
