Reconstruction on 3^rd Avenue SW from 18^th Street SW to 13^th Street SW will begin on Thursday, July 19.  The reconstruction project consists of removing the existing asphalt, reworking the granular base, and placing a new asphalt surface on the roadway.  Substantial completion for the entire project is September 15^th, 2018. This project will close both lanes on 3^rd Avenue SW to thru traffic. Traffic control will be in place throughout the project. Driveway access to homes in this area will be limited due to construction activities, and in some cases will be closed. The Contractor will ensure mail delivery and garbage services will be maintained throughout the entirety of the project.
