Phase-1 2018

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Contact: Rob Beynon, Street Superintendent

The Watertown Street Department will begin phase I of street milling and asphalt overlay on Tuesday, June 19th, 2018. This project will start on Golf Course Road at the intersection of 4th Ave S. and continue north then west over to the wye on S. Lake Drive. It will also include part of 42nd Street going north from Golf Course Rd. The other location to be milled/overlaid is a portion of the S. Bypass near the railroad track crossing.

This process involves grinding off the top layer of the road surface, and reapplying a new layer of asphalt.  Residences and businesses will remain accessible most of the time during this process.  Drivers are asked to exercise caution and to observe all traffic control devices in and around the construction areas.
