The City of Watertown received more than 2 inches of snowfall between March 5th, 2018 & March 6th, 2018. Therefore, the Watertown Street Department is currently re-plowing Highways & Emergency Snow Routes. Upon completion, they'll continue into residential Avenues.
Streets are plowed on: Monday, Wednesday, & Friday
Avenues are plowed on: Tuesday, Thursday, & Saturday
Please assist the Watertown Street Department by not parking on the roadways during the time that roadway is scheduled to be plowed. Parking on streets, avenues, or snow routes during the days they are scheduled to be plowed will result in a $40 fine (fine doubles to $80 if not paid in 3 days). There is also a fine for blowing snow into the street from a driveway or sidewalk.
Officers will do same day ticketing of vehicles blocking the snow plows from clearing the City’s streets and avenues. If the obstructing vehicles remain on the street longer than 24 hours after being plowed around, it will be towed at the expense of the owner.
The Watertown Street & Police Department appreciates the cooperation and understanding of residents in removing cars to provide for effective snow removal on City streets.
