Join us for an exciting afternoon at the Prairie Lakes Ice Arena Grand Opening Celebration! The City of Watertown is delighted to invite the community to celebrate the grand opening of our state-of-the-art ice arena on Thursday, September 12, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with a ribbon-cutting, followed by a program, beginning at 4:30 p.m. Located in the Willow Creek development, this event offers a perfect opportunity to explore the Prairie Lakes Ice Arena and discover all it has to offer.

While the Prairie Lakes Ice Arena has been serving the community since its doors opened earlier this year, the grand opening celebration promises an exciting new way to experience the facility. Even if you're already familiar with the arena, this event offers a unique insider experience and fun activities that you won't want to miss.

Learn more about the Shamrocks, Watertown's new NAHL team, the Figure Skating Club, and the Hockey Club. Meet Shamrock players and sign up for a chance to win a team-autographed Shamrocks jersey. . Explore the state-of-the-art facility with a self-guided tour, sign-up for giveaways and enjoy open skate, refreshments, and other fun activities.

This grand opening is not only a celebration of the new arena but also of the community spirit that brought it to life. The City of Watertown thanks the many generous donors who helped make the Prairie Lakes Ice Arena a reality for our community, including the generous contributions from Prairie Lakes Healthcare SystemFirst PREMIER Bank and First PREMIER Bankcard, Watertown Ford Chrysler/Bobcat, and The City of Watertown. The Ice Arena Build-It-Now Campaign raised nearly $10 million in total.
