[ARCHIVED] WFR responds to grass fire

WFR responded to a grass fire at 44435 US Highway 212 on 11/11/2017 at 8 pm last night. Brush 1 and Brush 2 found a small grass fire burning around some manure lagoons on the property. The fire was quickly put out but had burned for some time prior to being reported and had caused just under 1 acre to burn. The fire appears to have started after a burn pit was lit earlier in the day. No structures or animals were in danger from this fire. WFR would like to remind landowners that it is your responsibility to insure that your burn pit is kept under supervision until it is completely burned out.
