[ARCHIVED] Fire investigators will be on scene for fire at Kibble Equipment


Fire Investigators will be on scene for fire at Kibble Equipment this morning.

 

Watertown Fire Rescue fire investigators will be examining the fire scene that occurred last night at Kibble Equipment at 7:45 pm. Upon arrival crews found heavy black smoke coming from the south shop area. Fire crews made entry finding heavy black smoke and heat throughout the facility. The total size of the facility is around 55,000 square feet. The origin of fire was directly west of the office building which was approximately 9,000 square feet that sustained heavy fire and heat damage (along with equipment inside). The main office area received light smoke damage, fire crews were able keep fire and smoke away from the office area with positive pressure ventilation. The remaining structure received thick smoke and heat damage. The dollar loss of the facility is undermined, but is expected to be very high.
