[ARCHIVED] Motor Vehicle Accident w/ Minor Injury

At 8:06am (Friday Morning) the Watertown Police Department was dispatched to a rollover vehicle accident in the southwest parking of the Watertown High School. An officer arrived and discovered that the 15 year-old male driver was out of the vehicle and had minor injuries. An ambulance was requested by police to evaluate to driver. The driver was treated on-scene for minor injuries and then later taken to Prairie Lakes Hospital by private vehicle to be evaluated.

Subsequent investigation by police revealed that the driver was backing his 1994 Oldsmobile Bravada at a high rate of speed from his parking spot when he turned the steering wheel sharply, causing the Bravada to roll.

Fortunately, there were no other injuries in this crash.

The driver was cited for careless driving.
