[ARCHIVED] House fire at 212 5 Ave NW

WFR responded to a house fire last night at 2036. The home located at 212 5 Ave NW was occupied at the time of the fire and everyone was able to safely get out. Fire fighters arrived to find smoke coming from the basement and were able to make entry into the basement and quickly extinguish the fire. It appeared to be electrical but is still under investigation. Fire fighters were on scene about 2 hours and no injuries were reported. WFR would like to remind everyone to make sure your smoke detectors are working and that you have an escape plan so you too can safely escape a house fire. BC McElhany
