At 9:26 AM at the intersection of 9th Ave and 19th St SE, a 2006 Jeep Compass struck the front left corner of a semi tractor causing extensive damage to the Jeep. The driver of the Jeep was transported to the hospital with non life threatening injuries.
WFR personnel cleaned up antifreeze and debris from the accident.
Watertown Fire Rescue also responded to an accident at 1:13 PM at the intersection of 2nd Ave and 13th St SW for a one vehicle accident. A 2003 Pontiac Grand Am had struck a fire hydrant at the intersection causing damage to the front right corner of the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was also transported to Prairie Lakes Hospital with non life threatening injuries.
