[ARCHIVED] Pavement Conditions Undergoing Evaluation

The City of Watertown is working on a Pavement Management Study with the South Dakota Department of Transportation which will involve a special vehicle driving every paved city street to collect detailed information. IMS Infrastructure Management Services, LLC of Tempe, AZ has been hired to complete the study, and they will use the data they collect to put together a report including recommendations for prioritizing road maintenance activities. There should be no cause for concern, as the white van marked “IMS” will be slowly working its way through town with flashing lights between now and April 22nd. Later, a different IMS vehicle will return to collect different information for the study. For more information, please contact the City Engineering Department.
